Schreiber Heyne
Thanks to Rosa Schreiber and her daughter Teni Heyne, we have this long-established apple wine proprietorship . Around the turn of the century Rosa Schreiber took over the business from a gardener, and in addition to the sale of apple wine, she also provided a host of comforting amenities for her guests. After the war her daughter continued to run the restaurant in the same fashion.

Even today one can recognize the distinctive character of the past 12o years because nothing "broken" was renovated or fixed. A noticeably amiable setting will usher you into this room which has merely changed periodically through new decor.

The cuisine is focussed on the dishes which traditionally belong to an apple wine pub. On the table you will find a small menu with meals and drinks. But much more important is the bulletin board opposite the entrance door (respectively the board in the summer garden). Here you will find all the current lunch and dinner dishes.

This bulletin board is essential because the kitchen is not big enough to store food which could again be offered again the next day. Therefore, the shopping for food is done daily.

Despite the additional work here in Schreiber Heyne, great care is applied to the details. Thus, sufficient time is always given to add the necessary cream, nutmeg, etc.. to the hand mashed potatoes, or to create salad dressings from scratch, ........

Quite popular in the summer is the big, protected outside area with its shading trees and the mild apple wine which quenches every thirst, especially in the hot season of the year.
