| If you feel like going somewhere special, you should stop by at the Manitou. After 14 months of renovation, 250 sacks of plaster, several buckets of paint as well as a lot of patience and skill, the interior has been changed into something that can easily be called adventure gastronomy.
The cuisine reflects the Indian culture from all areas of the United States, from where many of the ingredients used are imported. Here, you can get pheasant breast, salmon, filet of bison, rattlesnake, grasshopper and scorpion.
As side orders, the Manitou offers wilde rice from the North-American and Canadian lakes, Topinambur (a root), Hominey (white corn) and Chepava (potatoe balls). Salat dressing is for example made of apple-vinegar and maple-syrup, ..... nomads soup for instance from dried joghurt, peppers or onions.
There are no original vegetarian dishes. However, the new creations sound extremely tempting. They consist of typicalvegetables Indians use as well as of nuts and berries.
Instead of having desert, you can enjoy smoking a peace pipe with original Sioux tobacco. Thank Manitou!
