The Middle Ages with their narrow alleys and timbered houses – nowhere are they as present as in the old town of Sachsenhausen. Therefore, this neighbourhood receives particularly strong support from the city government. The Lorsbacher Thal opened its doors in 18o3 and is located in the heart of the so-called “Alt-Sachsenhausen”.

During the summer months, one can sit in the comfortable shade of the green sycamore trees and the ancient grape-wine and enjoy the “Sachsenhäuser” cosiness. The original and beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant also invites you to stay for a while.

The applewine-restaurant has been rerun as a family business since June 2oo3, now in sixth generation. The Lorsbacher Thal offers traditional Frankfurt as well as international cuisine. Each week, there is a menu with seasonal dishes, guests from abroad can choose among menues written in several different languages.

The Lorsbacher Thal is also very modern when it comes to events. The homepage always keeps you posted as to what’s new about and around the Lorsbacher Thal. And finally and most importantly to all Applewine-lovers: Here, the applewine is again made according to its traditional pressing-procedures.
