| Here in the Bodega Los Gitanos "Bodega of the gypsies" you will find anything but gypsies. Rather you will be welcomed by Spanish people who have not forgotten the tastes of their home.
The Bodega was already open in 1965 and has changed hands once since then. Unfortunately, only few Spanish restaurant owners have remained in Frankfurt, who would also know how to make you forget, for the time of your visit, that you are a few thousand kilometres away from Spain.
Therefore, do not be deceived by the inconspicuous facade, but drop in for a look. You will soon appreciate the ambient surroundings.
But the atmosphere alone is clearly just half the visit. Hence, take your time with studying the extensive menu. Already after a few pages you will notice the large amount of seafood like gumbos, shrimps, calamaris, octopus, ... This is because the dishes they cook for you originate from the region of Andalusia. Thus you will also find predominantly meat dishes with beef, lamb, chicken and rabbit. The daily specials in front of the entrance complete this program.
For all dishes and cooking styles such as fried, grilled, and baked, the appropriate Spanish wine can be recommended to you. So leave a little room for dessert and try (from autumn until spring) to get a table close to the fireplace.
